SUBJECT: Weekly Report for Period Ending 14 July 1989
1. The Office of Personnel (OP) sponsored a pilot running
of a two-day Racial Awareness Seminar to sensitize Agency
employees to racial relations. OP also hosted a meeting of
Equal Employment Opportunity Directors from the Defense
Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National
Security Agency, Department of State, and the Army to discuss
the recommendations on improving the diVersity of the work
force made by the National Academy of Public Administration in
25X1 its recent report on the Intelligence Community.

3. OTE presented the first of six lectures/discussions on
"War and State" at Headquarters on 11 July. The series focuses
on the interrelationshi between national policy, strategy, and
25X1 military operations.
4. At the request of the Directorate of Intelligence (DI),
an OTE officer led a narrated historical tour of the Antietam
Battlefield for 25 analysts and managers. The tour emphasized
battlefield strategy and pointed out comparisons between the
decisions made at Antietam and those facing many Third World
25X1 armies today.

accept the building as substantially completed on 10 July 1989.
