DA WEEKLY REPORT HIGHLIGHTS
An OS representative gave a briefing on Soviet
espionage in the United States at the Federal Bureau of
Investigation's Counterintelligence Seminar.
Participants included security managers from over 100
industrial contractors and several federal agencies.
The Office of Logistics (OL) reports that the first
workshop on procurement integrity was held on 15 May .
One hundred forty attendees from the Offices of General
Counsel (OGC), Financial Management, Security, and
Logistics heard speakers from OGC and OL discuss the
new Headquarters Notice and Procurement Note, new legal
prohibitions, Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses,
post-employment restrictions, and certification
requirements. Additional training in procurement
integrity will be coordinated between OL and the Office

SUBJECT: DA Weekly Report Highlights
OTE conducted the first running of the "Chemical and
Biological Warfare (CBW) Course" for 61 students from
the Agency, the National Intelligence Council, the
Intelligence Community, and U.S. Army. The course
provided an overview of production and deployment of
biological and chemical weapons, and featured case
studies on Libya, the Iran-Iraq war, and Soviet CBW

In recognition of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Week,
the Office of Personnel's (OP) Office of Equal
Employment Opportunity (EEO) hosted a reception for all
Asian-Pacific American employees. EEO plans to meet
again with these employees to discuss issues of concern
to them.

SUBJECT: DA Weekly Report Highlights
- OP issued its first worker's compensation claimant
checks, a function previously performed by the
25X1 Department of Labor.
- Office of Medical Services representatives treated the
National Photographic Interpretation Center cooling
tower water with a biocide after a contractor detected
Legionella contamination. Post-treatment sampling
found the water to be free of Legionella. The water
will be regularly sampled and treated to prevent future
