WASHINGTON NEWS BRIEFS
WASHINGTON
President Reagan will travel to CIA headquarters just outside Washington
Thursday to break ground for an addition to the spy agency's headquarters, the
White House said.
In keeping with the secret nature of the CIA, news media have been asked
not to take pictures while on the grounds of the McLean, Va., complex, except
during the ceremony.
Reagan will fly by helicopter to and from the CIA, with press traveling by
bus. The press contingent will be limited to U.S. citizens who represent U.S.
newsgathering organizations.
The addition to the CIA building will provide more office space for
employees now working at various locations in the Washington area. It is
scheduled for completion in July 1987 at a cost of $190 million.
