As Chairman of the Anniversary Awards Gala Dinner of the National
Italian American Foundation, I would like you to join me as my
guest on the dais for what has become one of the premier annual
events in Washington.
On October 14 nearly 3,000 people will gather at the Washington
Hilton Hotel for this Gala affair which has attracted every
President of the United States since NIAF was founded. President
and Mrs. Bush have been in attendance for the past five years.
Awards will be presented to: baseball legend, Joe DiMaggio;
fashion leader, "Valentino"; actor, Danny Aiello; and K-Mart
Corporation CEO, Joseph Antonini. Past award recipients have
included Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Lee Iacocca, Perry Como,
Frank Capra, Gian Carlo Menotti, Luciano Pavarotti, and others who
have distinguished themselves.
I hope you can join me for this special evening and I look forward
to hearing from you.
