On May 24, 1977 I was instructed by you to research the State Department
Decimal File, 1945-1949 for documents pertinent to the discussion which
took place in Alan Thompson's office, May 23,.19770
The procedures .I used were as follows:

and noted down the entries for apparently pertinent documents
2. I removed from the files and copied several documents which pertain
to the matter under discussion.

It should be noted that much of the material I discovered is not filed
