this morning to brief him on the
Reuter visit. He will
e seeing ?euter
this afternoon. In passing
he mentioned that BBC had been holding board meetings all last week
to select Witherow's successor. They have made a selection but the
name has not been announced. David remarked to Bill that "even if
it isn't Roland Challis Roland will be here to provide continuity."
Bill interprets this as meaning that Challis was not selected.
