(S) This report documents a remote viewing session conducted in compliance with a request for information on an area of interest. 2. (S) The remote viewer was provided the geographic coordinates of the target at the start of the session. He was asked to describe the target and provide information relevant to its function. The viewer reported that he was unable to attain his usual state of relaxed concentration, but the interviewer observed that the viewer remained undisturbed by loud ambient room noise and appeared to maintain his focus on the target. Before the session the viewer complained that he did not get much sleep the night before the session. After the session the viewer stated he had a headache. 3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the document Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (5), undated. 4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during the remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the viewer reference his impressions of the targetsite. At TAB B is target cuing information provided the viewer. At TAB C are analyst's comments. I, I couldn't tell whether it was a round thing sitting on a ground or it's a round thing on a track. I saw a square hole this side towards me. I could see cross-section is a huge (not audible). It looked to me that 1/6th 1/8th thick is its diameter. #66: Examine that carefully. I will ask you to draw it later. PAUSE All right. Relax and concentrate once again. Relax and concentrate. Holding your concentration in your mind, ask yourself, what is the purpose of them being at this location? PAUSE #07: All I get is testing. #66: Tell me the raw data that makes you say that. +32 #07: I saw some kind of plate with holes in it; and I saw turret.... like shape with a mantlet tube removed. Now, before you prepare to draw I would like you to examine once again, you had at one point during your session a something that can take impact, something that is heavy, and something that is thick, and then you saw a cross-section. I would like you to examine that once again, so that you can draw it for me. PAUSE #07: Okay. #66: Is there anything you would like to add before you draw? +38 #07: I don't know. I cbuldn't I know they don't do t at with break drums, but that's just what it looked like. It was covers like tarp or canvas or something spread over the top of these. Then on your first cut, then you had some kind of vehicle under cover, which you have on sketch 1. Moving on you were asked to describe further.. .you had some kind of vehicle, you wanted to say tank you got the tube.... something was wrong...something wrong okay...just at the very end of that fragment of the session. Later on in the session you had the situation with tube ....uh....like turret shape with mantlet. I can't get this front right. That turret seems awfully big, but.... I saw where the mantlet was removed. Looked like it was very, very thick. Right here. Oh! In one of the images, I got two things sticking up back here, and I will be darned if I ...you know, first I thought, my God, there's tubes pointing up. Then I figured out the direction:of this thing was: facing, I thought I did, and these things appeared to be at the back. I'm only drawing one of these, but here is where thatfirant of that building was This, this, I think, I think maybe this turret was a little ider relative to the a little wider relative to the width of the tank. I don't know how many wheels. I didn't even, I didn't even look. #10.5: Ok. You said the turret, then, would be a little bit wider.H on the chassie? 107: Yeah. I think...as I look at the drawing here, it seemed to me like it was wider in the direction: of the arrow. Youi, know. Towards the side of the chassie. May be a little more slope to it: hare. #10.5: Did you have a Would you relate to me your feeling, regarding the things on the back of the tank there of the vehicle.. #07: I was looking for tubes. I was looking for tubes. This darn thing looked like a tank and I was looking for tubes, and I couldn't see them. I tried to see them through the drapped material. I thought they ought the fabric ought to drape off of them...I could see it I think I was told to, you know, look at it without the stuff on it. And, I'm looking around trying to figure the front and the back end, and I see two, rather small in comparison to the overall vehicle.. .tubular shapes.. .extending up aft..... I think it was aft of the turret. It could be the front, but I decided it was the aft side of the turret. Uh tAt,ic #10.5: Did they protrude above the hole in the way you've drawn there. #17: Yeah. But, they didn't seem to come up quite as high as the turret. # 0.5: Okay. Not quite as high as the turret. Did you have a feel for the function of those? And, how about the size 7 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 #07: Didn't even, didn't even think about it. I thought, gee, theyreguns. I know it. Tank wouldn't have guns like that. I thought. Well, they're machine guns mounted, and I thought they looked a little heavy for machine gun. Not as heavy as a mortar tube, but..... and they weren't smooth. There Was stuff along the side of 'em. I don't know what the heck it was, you know. It wasn't just a smooth tube sticking up. Like if you had a very low resolution of a fat machine gun, and you just got a glance at it, you could assume that'S what it was. I didn't think it was a machine gun. #11.5:Okay. How about the diameter or size of the thing, other than length. #0:: I'd say...uh...compared to the size of the tank...uh... 3 or 4 inches in diameter as a max ...I guess. I was awfully impressed of the size of this critter...uh... I felt I was about 2 feet away....right here, on this side looking up, and it was alot taller than me. I think I felt 8 or 9 feet. Maybe 10. feet. I don't know. Eight or nine feet. And, glancing around, I saw an awful lot more detail than I've drawn here. But, I didn't recognize any of it, so I thought it was...you know....I was afraid the thing was...uh...Traid I was building something, because I didn't recognize I have seen alot of tanks, and I thought that I ought to...if I see a tank I ought to recognize the son-of-a-gun, or at least, say it's like an umpti-ump. I didn't feel that. So I felt uneasy about it because it didn't look right. It just didn't dawn on me right there that, hey, I'm looking at something new. and different and take notes 'cause you may not get a chance to look at this again, or anything like that. Because of partly, some of the things I saw were so strange to me I just kind of brushed them aside. Somewhere, I think before I got to the point where I was staying beside it here, I was looking around trying to figure what was going on and...a tremendous roar at a point where it hurt my left ear, and I couldn't figure out whether it was explosion...uh...maybe a gun had gone off or something. But, I saw no tubes so I tried to give you that idea. I thought it was overlay. But, it was a crackling...continuous sound fore brief period. Like I've heard jet engines rib up real close to me and where someone overrides them and they just overwhelms you with this cracking, popping, horrible sound that makes your head hurt. My head did hurt as a result of it. And, it hurt quite awhile. Even when I was stopping to draw it was still hurting. 8 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Did you feel the sound as reminiscent to-...strongly reminiscent to jet engine type of situation, as you said? It sounded like ...I was aviation in the Navy, and I walked by a hanger many of the time when someone who was doing a certain hour check he had to revfat engine up to, I don't know, 80 or 90 percent of its full thrust for so many seconds, then pop down. That's what it sounded like. Like someone just shoved a jet engine clean to the floor. Completely overwhelmed was cracking, popping, horrible sound.. .just overwhelms you. And, it was during this when you were in this.... Just when I was around here looking around just before.... before I looked at the vehicles without the covers on. I was looking arund trying to figure what's going on. While I was looking I heard this terrible., terrible sound. It seemed like it was off to my left, somewhere. And, right now I don't know the direction I was looking. So,. I'm not sure exactly where it came from. All right. What is your....do you have any feeling for the ....where the vehicle is as you've drawn it. You know. You have it back.. .facing against a facade or building that you have....what is it resting on. What's in under it? Is that...,.is I don't know. How will try to get this across or is it in the area where the trees were, or is it in a fabricated area for that. Is it an actual constructed area where they do this or was it sort of Do you follow. Yeah. I follow what you're asking and I'm going back through my images to see whether uh. I don't remember looking under it. You know. It certainly was not anywhere down on a flat bed of a truck or anything like that. Logic tells me that if there were tracks they were probably on dunnage, or something, to keep the tracks clear. Possibly raised. Is that what you mean by dunnage? Uh....yeah. Normally, if the tracks are going to set awhile they put them up on something. I don't know if it's to keep the tracks from sticking or...uh...I don't know what it's for, but they normally do it. I expect to see that, and I don't remember looking to see what...that they were on anything. Is there anything more you would like to add as regarding the vehicle itself? You've indicated that it was strange ...uh...at least in some sort of non-familiar sense. Thinking about it now, could you think of one or the most significant reason why you felt you couldn't identify the vehicle. Is there any one thing that would have caused you to identify or feel that familiarity, anyway, but you didn't for some reason. You know. Alot of little detail that you wouldn't put in if you were to cast it in plaster of Paris, for instance. I remember the dome looked almost like saw a dome shape! It looked like- ?a crude, rough textured casting. Uh....smooth rounded edges. Rather than like, say, the German Tigers, you know, welded flat palte This stuff looked like it was very rough, massive, thick wall casting. Uh alot of little details that normally look for to help: me to tell one tank from another were missing. Like all these things had not been added. There's normally rings and things for tie tarps, and all kinds of stuff like that on 'ern. They just seemed simple and basic. Like they didn't have all this stuff. Incomplete, I guess. Oh! At one point. I don't know what to make of this. I guess I suspect because I couldn't find tubes on the thing, I may have manufactured, this, but I saw something like flails or something like manure soit. Some- thing going around on one end of it. When I saw that, I thought oh, no tubes, and I see this thing....it could be .,...1 don't know....years ago they Used to haVebbmetning go through a mine field and open up an opening pr something. I guess just beat the hell of the mines or something. When I saw this kind of thing I thought that might have been part of this. All I saw was a section of the end of a track vehicle..some kind of things turning, and the rotational force ...whatever it was went all the way across one end of the tank...and that disappeared...just a flash and disappeared. #1 . : Well, let's move on then. We'll get to that that's about...let me see...we're still on the first page here of my notes all right. Ummmm when #66 directed you to relax again, and asked you to determine the function of the target area....uh....I had two notes here. You may have had more feelings, more perceptions. You had the feeling that the area was associated, or was an R&D test facility. And, shortly after that you saw something pouring concrete. Now, am I correct when I say that the pouring concrete activity is what you have on sketch one, in the lower right hand corner? #0 : Uh that shows the position of the vehicles. I don't have them pouring concrete there. Yeah. I saw them over in this area. Uh...truck was...a pad of some kind...uh... rectangular shape pad..,uh...maybe it was a portion of a street, but all I saw was forms for a rectangular area that was two times the length of the truck and maybe 1/3d smaller than that in width. It was over in this direction. 10 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 1/10 5: Then in describing what was being.-..as you had said... test facility...what was being tested at this facility... uh...your imagery...let me see..looked like brake drums spread out in field along each side of a cable...some kind of a track vehicle to the right over near a wall... this is sketch 2....round pillbox type shape. #07 #10.5: #0 : #1 Okay. That was a separate image. I couldn't tell where it was. I was trying to see if it was coming out of the ground; if it was on a building, or if it was on top of a tank or a vehicle. I think I finally convinced myself it was on top ...probably on top of a vehicle. I became confused when I saw this dome, over in this direction... light coming from it. Because it was 3 or 4 cuts at.... dome, pillbox or turret shapes, and I was getting pretty confused. with all of this 'cause there were pieces just coming out of....that'd be the only thing I'd focus in on. They did look exactly alike so I didn't know whether they were the same thing or...uh...or the same thing at a different angle, but I didn't know. Uh....that pillbox thing. Is that when I saw the thick, I don't know, thick walls of it, or something? Uh...that's slightly f rther on in the session, but not too much farther. I think you were still working on this imagery. This is what I need to work together here. Uh.... also in association or in line with the pillbox shape, you had the...looked like some kind of manure spreader on, on the back of the track vehicle. Then moving on, let's see.... I thought it was on the end. I didn't know whether it was the front or the back. I was having trouble trying to determine front and back. Okay. Then, you were asked what was presentlythe,Most important aspeft. of the, function of the target. Your imagery or your perceptions here, when asked that question you shortly thereafter perceived some kind of a loud roar... Something over to the left...a short roar...thought it came from the track vehicle...had some smoke or something like that associated with it, as I seem to recall. 1/O r: Ahhh...I remember that. #1 All right. This is according to your earlier part of the debriefing here. This is in association with sketch 2, but shortly before having gotten in close to the vehicle... Sorry. #1 .5: Yeah, as I was saying. In your debriefing just a moment ago, it was...the roar thing and disassociated perception was before getting the detail on the vehicle. #0: Yes, it was. Yes. Yes. #11.5: Okay. Then you went into the detail which we already have on sketch 2. Now, here's where we get to this other thing you were talking about. This very heavy thickness. You were asked if there was anything more regarding the important aspect of the function, and from what I could get, I think we had some outside interference,:. that sort of masked you out on the headset, but very thick, very heavy...I picked up tremendous impact...uh...bits of extremely thick walls, okay... .if you could...... #0': #1 II I saw a shallow dome shape...uh...that seemed as though it was constructed to take extremely heavy impact. It ..uh...the angle that I was looking at this, it looked alot more rounder than this. .5: This will be on sketch 3. #0': The thing that impressed me here, was the very thick walls that you can see here...through this square opening....looking into it. But, it was like a rough, textured, sandcasting... smooth, fat edges, and I tried to put it on things, .and of course, I thought about it, you know, and I just started fitting it on alot of things...starting fitting it on vehicles ....became a pillbox in the ground.....and I had to back off and leave it alone, 'cause I couldn't depend on when I asked myself where is this, I got too much imagery to cope with, and I backed away from it. #11.5: Ummmm Did you have a feeling for thickness, dimension, size dimension, thickness? #0 : I tried to figure out the size of the dome, dome shape.... I thought it was about 1/8th, I felt the diameter of what- ever it was., Okay, yeah. You had 1/6th to 1/8th thick as diameter. That's what you mean then on this distance here. #07: Yeah. This is about 1/6th to 1/8th of that. # 0.5: Some rounded top thing just going through my notes.... some rounded top thing, either on ground or on track. That's where you backed off, okay. Square hole in the side towards you see cross section about 1/6 to 1/8 as thick as the diameter, okay. Uh are there any...did you Approv d For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 12 Approv d For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 determine or have any peculiar, other peculiar cnispecial type siginficant data input regarding this imagery. Anything else you would like to add regarding this? #07: No. I was just very curious as to what it was. I #10.5: Do I understand that is a 3 dimensional situation in drawing. #07: Drawing. I guess I saw it in 3 dimension. I imagoned it it as a cutaway cross section where I'll put that down here, if you would like. This is probably why I felt it was about 1/6th to 1/8th as thick as it was all the way across. If you just slice right down through it it was very, very thick. And, it was very simplistic,, you know. I didn't see doors, hatches, anything like that. I just saw this smooth, rough, casting shape. #10.5: And, the idea of tremendous impact, and very heaviness here. What are you.. .what were you saying when you were say those words? #07: If I see something that appears that thick, it either tells me that the material that it is constructed Of is extremely weak or it's got:A? take tremendous stresses. Otherwise, if it's just environmental you could come up with something very, very thin because it doesn't have to take any stresses. And...uh...I just assumed because of the heavy thickness it was built to take impact. #10.5: All right. Moving on then. You were directed to move back over the target to your point of beginning imagery you had the evergreens, part of the building, some moved earth, construction, crane...wall part of the building... two vehicles....older building....building seems empty, I believe you said. #07: Yeah. It was a big building and I assumed it was the same one I'd seen first...got detail on it front of it.... appeared it had some glass and panels busted or burnt or broken...uh...like I could just see right into it and, it's an old building that perhaps they were going to use....rebuild it, reuse it for something else, but it really looked like it had been there a long time, and maybe even had some fire...the front of it. And, I was only looking at the front.....uh it reminded me of the appearance of some of the old warehouses I saw in Hollabird, the last time I saw them. Kind of sad shape. Still useable...as a cover, but needs maintenance. And, I thougHt.that was the long building that had the opening in the roof. 12 Approved For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approved For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 #10.5: Okay. #07: Oh! I saw alot of earth. On drawing 1...I felt back from trees...across from trees from the big building. #10.5: Okay. You've written spoil there for the earth. Uh... underground shelter to left. #07: Hmmmm Ohl Okay. I forgot that. #10.5: Size of tennis court earth bulldozed up around it ...vents on top. That's also in association with this second cut at the aerial #07: Yeah. I don't know. That was over to the ..'....further to the left in this direction. Let me see. I've got to identify. I've got two arrows here. Uh...this shape was a...though earth were bulldozed up over this and it ..uh...you could see some rounded corner, but looked like there was a box underneath I don't know the exact positions of these darn things over here, but it looked something like that. #10.5: Okay. Sketch 4. #07: What did I call this? Underground uh..... #10.5: Underground shelter. Okay. Now, #66 was directing you we've done some moving around. I think where we are is back to sketch 2. Uh...you were asked what about the camouflaged area, and you had a track vehicle with a round top. Some kind of tube to the right twice as long as wide. #07: Tube oh, the vehicle, vehicle...uh...that ratio is what told me it was a track vehicle undercover. It was 2 to 1 ratio and most track military vehicles are 2 to I ratio. #10.5: Okay. So, am I correct when I'm saying that this relates to your sketch 2 imagery there? #07: Sketch 2. #10.5: Okay. You were asked to move in close to it and compare it to a man's height. And you sort of had an exclamation there, and you just simply said 8 to 9 feet. Okay. Moving on. Question why the vehicles were here. You had a little bit of difficulty apparently, I don't know but, you said the vehicles would disappear in a big spool of twine or wire... would I presume take their place. 13 Approved For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approved For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 #07: I was looking at the vehicles asking myself, you know, what is the function...uh...what's this all about, and the image would fade...leave me...and I saw a...like someone had taken trout line and wound around a stick... uh...I don't know. It could have been just garbage imagery coming in, but it looked like wire or trout line, or something. like that wound around a stick. I don't remember what happened after that, though. Was it that it stopped there #10.5: Well, all you did is the testing feeling #07: Oh, okay. Okay. #10.5: The testing feeling...and you saw some kind of a plate with holes in it. But, I'm interested in this overlay of the vehicle to the spool or twine wire, okay. I didn't mean overlay in the nat.j.ve, I meant the overlay...the way the images would, would come across each other during your session. Would you draw me a sketch of your perception of the spool of twine or wire which you just described as a front line. #07: I saw two different ones. I saw this one...the trout line. I'll draw it for you. But, I saw another one later. I started to dump just as he asked me to do something, and I thought, gee, I've got to remember to talk about that, and I don't know if I ever did or not, but the second one...uh... looked like a large spool of regular wire, you know, with disk on the end; it was black, cable, black cable on it, and, I meant to come back and look at and I didn't. It happened about the time you said something, and, I don't know, I completely lost it. #10.5: That should be 5. You have 4 already. #07: I do? #10.5: Yeah. Uh...for that why don't you just divide that in half and provide in two "quick sketches of the two aspects would be fine. Okay. On the left we have the twine, the wire wound on a center post; and on the right of sketch 5 we have the: spool feeling. Uh...the cable, you mentioned cable....spool #07: This, this was large. I don't know. Maybe 3, 4 feet. #10.5: Okay. On the left there, I'm getting the feeling that that's sort of a casual haphazard winding. Is that accurate? 14 Approved For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approved For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 #07: Ahhh.... #10.5: All right, Very good. Also associated with this you got: the testing again, after you cleared from that imagery and then you saw some kind of plate with holes in it. #07: Ahh....At that time, I remember looking around for anything that would give me information about what was happening. This plate just appeared with holes in it, and I first thought, well gee, that looks like heavy metal; it's supposed to be strong but they've lightened it; and then I noticed that the holes were not bored. They appeared I don't know if they were punched or something, and I felt well, maybe it's a target. You know. They're shooting... penetration or something like that. I saw something else too, at that time, along with that. Oh! The dome thing with the red light coming out of one side of it. #10.5: That was in association with this? #07: That was at the time I saw...about the same time I was looking around for identification. Uh and I remember that only because #66 asked me why I said something. Why I said testing, or something. UMma...right. #07: And, these were my reasons for coming up with that. #10.5: Okay. Did you have a feeling for size, magnitude of this 'Dalt? with the holes in it or size of the holes in it. Uh #07: I, I just saw it sitting out there. I would guess, you know, maybe 8 feet by 8 feet or something like that. It was square. It was thick. #10.5: Okay. Was there any pattern to the holes? You said that they appeared to be punched as opposed to bored. Any type of pattern. #07: Uh...no, they seemed...I remember...seems rather random. I don't remember a uniform pattern like the stars on a flag or anything like that. #10.5: Uh do you have a feeling for where that is located in the overall area.... 15 Approved For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approved For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 #07: It seems over into the area to the left on 1. Directly in the direction of the arrows. Somewhere in the direction of the arrows over in that direction. #10.5: In the upper left corner 1. Okay. Fine. All right. Now we move into the area we've already built on sketch 2. You had the turret shape with the mantlet removed, two 1 gone...some kind of testing. Then you made the sort of the observation, that if it were modification there would have been more than two. And, you said it must be something of some kind, and #66 asked you to say that again, and you said since there's only two that it must be prototypes. Vehicle prototypes. Uh.....well, could you just give me some groups on that. #07: Well, I felt when#66 asked the question that I hadn't thought of it, but that if they were modifying something, or if they were building vehicles they ought to be a whole batch of 'em out there. You don't have a big facility to repair two vehicles or to construct two vehicles, and I was looking for why I only see two around here, and I was looking all over and I felt that, well, you only had two if there were only two, and that would be a prototypes or some kind of test bed...just based on numbers. #10.5: Okay. Fine. You were then asked to observe the vehicles alone in an uncluttered circumstances and you were asked if you recognized them and you said no. Uh....you were asked if you had anything further to add when nearing the end of the session, and you said that there were two... something, two somethings, two somethings sticking out of the back of it #07: That's on drawing two. #10.5: Is that on drawing two, there? Let's see. The pipes or whatever it.... #07: Whatever the heck it is. I thought, I was kind of elated there, I thought I had found the tubes that I had been looking for, you know, gun tubes...and...uh...I didn't see them. #10.5: Okay. That's all I have. Do you have anything you want to add? #07: No I We did mention the dome that I later thought might be a Maybe a field light or something, which would tie in with testing. #10.5: Okay. Why don't you do a sketch of that. #07: Uh.. ?what number we got? 16 Approved For Release 2003/09/09 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 Approved For Release 2003/09/09: CIA-RDP96-00788R000200400001-6 #10.5: That's six. #07: Uh...the dotted line is where I saw the flash of light. Just, you know, I thought it might...seemed like a field like dome, but possibly a. lazier or something in it. I don'tknow. #10.5: How about the size? The magnitude of this? #07: Uh.....the size 6 feet diameter. #10,5: Okay. t-h-e-o Oh, sorry. I thought you were going to spell it. #07: I don't know if that's what is or not.
