Describe the room to me. #08: The room is, it's very, very plush...a huge room. It's as if he. were kind of on temporary duty there... in the political issue...do something with the political issue and the candidates. Come up with something. #66: Tell me again about how he's dressed. #08: It'.s almost as if he were a prof in a, in a university with a... gray woollen jacket. SG1B #66: I have no further questions about However, I'd like to give you the opportunity to comment as you see fit. #08: I'll just take three minutes, see what comes out. #66: I will wait. #08: I don't have anything. #66: Aha. Let's prepare to draw then the images that you have had. #08: Okay. In sketch number one, what I have attempted to do is to draw impressions that concern the front view of the building. My immediate. attention was centered around the dome which I'll just label number two is.a dome one in number two. The small dome came on that, came about later on, and it, as I've said during the session it looked a wedding cake the way it was made. It was just the impressions. Between dome two and that rectan- gular.piece of building, this seemed hollow here, and I'll.put that as if they were number three, okay. Where I found him was.in.the, what I perceived to be about the third story of the....the, let's just call that number five, and I'll call the other layer number four, so to speak. And, where I've indicated by X is where I've, the office where I found him to be in. There were, from the front view when. you had me backed up, I know there are a lot of steps leading. to the entrance of this building, that at the gate there.are fluted columns with some kind of design or thing in. here...gold, something, and the gate is black wrought iron. Okay. And, this goes on with more wrought iron gates to the right and left, and.with additional columns just spaced there someplace, but not as pretty as the initial columns to the entrance. Okay, and that's the general physical. description of what I saw. Sketch number 2 is. badly, but it is a very plush office. The reason-that I started from the rear of the room to.the front is that, as he turns away from his desk, I'll put an X as to where he was, there's a beautiful view, a panaramic view from behind him. I don't know if there's as many windows as there are indicated there.. But, there are arches with, with windows Approved For Release 20Q(0(0]?-j 9 rRBP9S-00788R000600030001-3 Approved For Release 2001 f #08: which he has access to which is very pleasing. The room is very, very plush with dark brown mahogany type furniture with chandeliers and everything else.. Some of the distinctive features, what I perceive to be a mantel piece and fireplace to the right side with a bench for people. Not necessarily a wooden bench, but a comfortable bench,. and interspersed with several stuffed chairs, leather though. And, there appeared to be a library of books on the right side-of the room from the entrance looking in.....what is, was a very, very pretty room. But, I..had the impression it was almost like a visitors room, a dignataries room for use for people who, for temporary use for people who come.to this building to do work. Did not seem at all very, very familiar with the contents of what was in there at his desk. It didn't seem homey like someone who would use it every day. So he had very few papers on the desk that he kept looking at. #66: Okay. Before you mentioned what you thought he was doing. What his activity was about. Do you want to tell me about that again? #08: These were simply impressions that turned out somewhat political. It had to do with the nomination or the potential nomination of two people of very important high political positions. Surpris- ingly enough I'm, the impression that I got from the individual he was there in a screening capacity. There was no indication of a personal ambition to jockeying for a position. He seemed to be like more of a mediator or a judge where his findings or approval or disapproval of this, these candidacies would affect the candidQcy itselves. #66: Now, what criteria does he do this screening? #08: I don't know. Their entire past life and accomplishments. This is what he has access to. #66: All right. Now, tell me again about how he was dressed. #08: That simply never went away. It was this.thing that coming back was this woollen type gray flannel jacket that he seemed to have on which gave him an air of informality, as if he. were studying the issue or the case at.hand, ah, after duty hours. Like in his. spare time. It.was part of the job,.but he was not answerable to an official. in an official capacity at that time and place.... It would be like conducting business for about 8 hours and coming back to a motel or something and reviewing notes and making preparations to make decisions. What can I say. #66: Okay. Anything else you would like to add?
