(S) This report provides documentation of a remote viewing session conducted for training purposes to enhance a remote viewer's demonstrated ability. 2. (5) The target images related by the remote viewer appeared to show absolutely no target correlation. This was the viewer's first attempt at remote viewing without an interviewer. He was concerned about falling asleep during the session if he relaxed too much. 3. (5) The protocol used for this session was a modifica- tion of the protocol detailed in the document, Standard Remote- Viewing Protocol (Local Targets) by Harold E. Puthoff and Russell Targ, November 1978. This session's protocol was modified in that a randomly generated preselected target was not used. In lieu of a randomly generated, preselected target the "beacon" simply chose a site which, in his opinion was unique and identifiable. 4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during the remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the viewer reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B are photographs of the target site. (Edited for security.) PAUSE #47.5: The time is now 1358. At this time I will try to locate the outbounder without the aid of a facilitator. PAUSE The noise level here is phenomenal. PAUSE +03 Keep seeing . . . a "V" shapes or "L" shapes that recede off into the distance in perspective. At the one point, I had, even now, I'm getting a shape I could only say reminds me of a . . a. . stalk of broccoli. PAUSE +05 At this time, I'm just making a few very quick sketches so I can remember what I've seen. PAUSE Its very odd, I appear to be seeing a certain shape from a top angle and a side angle and from different angles all at the same time. Its very confusing, very hard to draw. PAUSE Odd. I had the . . almost the impression of . . standing on a boat and looking forward. Conceived a bow shape. As if I were standing aft and look- ing fore deck. I can't believe this noise. PAUSE Approved For Release 2006,4E 11910N1'00- 788R000900390001-1 Approved For Release 2000/ P96-00788R000900390001-1 Okay, Now to find the outbounder. Stand where he is and see what he's seeing. PAUSE +08 Okay. In looking straight ahead I get the feel- ing and I see images as if I'm looking at some- thing that appears to meet at the center. PAUSE It could be a sidewalk that . . to perspective is wide and meets in the center. It could be I'm looking at two things that come together like a bow of a boat. I will now try to turn to my left. PAUSE +10 I had a very vague impression of a T-shape to my left. PAUSE I keep getting this . PAUSE What I was going to say was I kept getting the picture or for a lack of nothing else to call it, is the bow of the boat from the top view, side view. Even as if I would be in the air looking at it from the lop right hand, but all I see is the bow. Or the shape. Not necessarily the bow of a boat but the shape. . that type of shape. Shortly after that, I had, I saw the shape of a . . like a hole, round hole. It had depth to it. At first I only saw a half-moon shape. And it had depth to it and then the next thing I saw was looking into a hole. It had fairly smooth edges and it was manmade. Man construction. . . is all I can say. PAUSE It's now 12 past the hour. PAUSE 2 Approved For Release 2000/ bP96-00788R000900390001-1 Approved For Release 200 -00788R000900390001-1 It seems that the noise outside has subsided a bit. PAUSE Now to concentrate on going back to 1400 and where was the subject at that time. PAUSE +15 I'll try to concentrate now on whether the outbounder is indoors or outdoors or whatever. PAUSE It's difficult to tell whether he's indoors or outdoors. I have a feeling that if he is outdoors he is in a shaded area. I don't get a lot of bright light and I know its a very sunny day outside. PAUSE I saw again the "V" shape. Receding away from me perspective wise. PAUSE +20 It's now twenty minutes past target time. And I will now attempt to put my impressions on paper. And at the same time still try to retain concen- tration enough to go back and picture these pictures that I saw and see if I can't enhance them. PAUSE The . . first image or feeling I had . . was of a L of "V" shape. It appeared to have a corner to it. It also appeared to recede into the distance. That's Drawing One. Page One. PAUSE Oh, that's just what I needed a fire engine. Okay, I'll go on to Drawing Two. SIRENS PAUSE 3 SECRET Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000900390001-1 Approved For Release 200 DP96-00788R000900390001-1 Which the only way I could describe it . . appeared to look like a stalk of broccoli. SIRENS SIRENS PAUSE PAUSE PAUSE Drawing Number 3, Page 1. Its difficult to describe but it looks like it may be related to Drawing 1. Its a . . its the "V" shape from a different angle. Add depth to it, it was a long something, and there seemed to be something protruding out the front of it. Picture 4 was the one I described as having the feeling of looking at the bow of a ship. I'm standing on the deck of the ship. I was looking forward at the bow. PAUSE To go on to Page 2, and Number 5 on Page 2: I appeared to be standing at the same place that I was looking at the bow of the ship at 4. And to my left appeared to be - it was either a "T" shape or a cross shape. I guess I'll put that in with a dotted line. I'm not sure if that was there. I felt it was there but I didn't see it. It had a certain amount of depth to it and again it appeared to have some relation to that "V" shape that I kept seeing. PAUSE Just a note that I kept seeing. . what. . the only way I can relate to it and explain to, is the bow of a ship. And I'll put that in again in Number 6. And it was from a little different angle than Number 4. And it seemed, it seemed very much like Number 3. PAUSE Item Number 7, when I tired to turn around and look behind me, I saw a. . what appeared to be, Approved For Release 2000/0 96-00788R000900390001-1 Approved For Release 2000/0 P96-00788R000900390001-1 a half-moon, or half round shape that had depth to it. And as I explored that further, the next image I had which I'll label Number 8, appeared to be a hole. Round. Nice rounded hole. And that also had depth to it. But it was so smooth and nice it appeared man made. PAUSE Now, I will attempt to go back. PAUSE I see this "Y" shape again. At first (not audible) I see it in two dimensional. And then, I'm looking at it again and it seems three dimensional. Like the "Y" shape has (not audible). PAUSE That's 9 and 10. PAUSE Its now half past the hour, I think. ? ? TURN OVER TAPE But I was going to end the session there, but I think I will add one more drawing. And try to put all these pieces into one perspective. On Page 4 from where I was standing which I will mark with an "X" on Page 4, looking forward I saw the "V" shape or the bow of the boar shape. To my left is where I saw the shape I described in Item 5 as kind of a "T" shape but it appeared to have some sort of depth to it. Behind me, was when I had the feeling the. . . the circle, the semi-circle or the hole was. . . to my right. I didn't really get a good feeling as to what was to my right. I'm concentrating on the target, looking at my right. I see something similar to what I saw to my left which appeared to be a "T" shape or an "L" or something that would have depth to it. I'll label this front; rear, left; and right. PAUSE That ought to do it. 5 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : 788R000900390001-1 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000900390001-1 TAB A Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R000900390001-1 Approved For Release 2000/08/07 : CIA-RDP96-00788R00090039041.
