9ET Approved For Release 2 - DP96-00788 R001500120014-9 DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY COMMAND FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, MARYLAND 20755 REPLY TO ATTENTION OF: Dr. Harold Puthoff SRI-International 333 Ravenswood Avenue Menlo Park, California 94025 Dear Dr. Puthoff, (S) After much deliberation, I have decided to write you to convey my displeasure over your failure to respond to my 28 February 1985 letter in which I outlined my review and assessment of the reports you prepared i support of U.S.,Army INSCOM Project CENTER LANE. I received comments on 23 April 1985, but since he is not the contractor, o not consider his memorandum the official SRI-International response .to my letter. (S) I have delayed the preparation of a letter to the Contracting Officer in my capacity as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative until 28 June 1985. Unless I receive a satisfactory reply from you to my February letter before then, I will be obligated to inform the Contracting Officer that work completed on IMDSO Letter Order #18 was only minimally acceptable. Included in my letter will be a listing of equipment purchased in direct support of --the contract. Regarding this, I have some questions concerning the items listed below. Please provide me with justification as to why the following were charged) against the CENTER LANE Project instead of against other contractees or SRI-International overhead: a. (U) Sun Micro System Model 120 Digital Computer b. (U) Canberra Industries Model 4202 Analyzer c. (U) Interleaf Printer (S) Also, please provide me with the current status of the three IBM personal computers and their intended future use by SR.I-International in support of U.S. Government contracts. As this office devolves under new management it has an immediate need for such a personal computer; we are looking at those obtained for CENTER LANE contract support to satisfy our present requirements. (U) I hope that you will take this second opportunity to communicate with me so this .matter can be resolved equitably.
