Approved For Release 2003/09/10 : CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210061-5 THE EXPLORER PROFESSIONAL DIVISION OPENS At long last, 1980 heralds the official opening of the Institute's Professional Division. In response to many requests, the Professional Division is designed to assist researchers, clinicians, practitioners, educators, and related organizations in the application and additional study of the Institute hemi-sync techniques in their particular field of endeavor. The Division will offer special hemi-sync tapes for use by Professional Members in research or private and clinical practice. Research data from members and other sources also will be circulated among such membership. In addition, weekend seminars for training and research in the application of hemispheric synchronization will be held frequently at The Center in Virginia. (See accompanying 1980 Schedule). The Professional Division Executive Committee is composed of ArthurGladman, M.D., Stuart Twemlow, M.D., Todd Mickurea, M.D., Fowler Jones, Ph.D., William Schul, Ph.D., and Mary Jane Ledyard, Ph.D. Among present areas to be considered are stress-tension reduction, control of pain, psychotic state remission, drug and alcohol addiction, autistic and other childhood disfunctions, post-stroke therapy, creativity, and accelerated and specialized learning. Letters of invitation are now being mailed to those who already have expressed an interest in Professional Membership. Ifyouractivities lead in this direction, write or phone the Institute in Virginia for information and application forms. Monroe Institute of Applied Sciences P.O. EXPLORER TAPE COMMENTS (EB) "I have a pervading sense of happiness, of the goodness of things. So much of the content of the tapes reaffirms a lifelong philosophy which I Effective immediately, the Emergency Treatment Tape Series will no longer be available had singlehandedly developed (I thought.) during T Tr loan to Sustaining Members. Instead, the years -- my passionate love of the earth and its members may purchase the series outright for people and all its life forms, my early rejection ofa meir own private unlimited use. god and of religion as a freezing of development, This is the Institute cassette tape program for my acceptance of death without fear as a natural condition of life, and many smaller details. I feel use during major surgery, illness or injury which re-assured proved so successful in bringing about fast -assured and re-confirmed and at the same recuperation and healing, as well as control of time encouraged to go on seeking new pain and post-operative shock. The problem has depths/heights of 'knowing.'....... (MP) "I am been that when loaned, the tapes have rarely been delighted with them, and find no conflict of belief, returned. Members have preferred to keep them in fact, a feeling of affirmation of what I already ready in their "medicine chest" in the event of believe about the nature of reality, Christ's life, the meaning of it, and that the "second coming" is another emergency. really in for the Emergency Treatment Series for ss d n ourselves. A Quaker who has spent time in Ashrams in India. Each of these persons have also shared the tapes with their close groups, so there is a spreading circle of affirmation of the contents of the tapes".......(KP) "Interesting material to say the least. It has provided all of us a clearer conception of how you are functioning with your work in VA. Personally it provides many things to think about and work on. It is reassuring to hear the structures hinted at in your work confirmed by these tapes"..... (WB) "The discourse on side two of the tape about the Christ Consciousness and Jesus was as clearly stated as possible. As far as I am concerned it is a masterpiece in philosophy. It is sure a pitythat the average man and woman on the street cannot be aware of this discussion.".......(EB) "And of such unmistakable quality/authenticity/perceptive- ness/clarity. Was thrilled to hear the Earth referred to as a "living entity" for I have a lifelong passionate love of this beautiful ball we stand on, and a firm identification with itasa life form. (twill take many more listenings before I can sort out the myriad thoughts and make them my own, discarding the debris of my own thoughts and establishing the beauty of these words/concepts in my heart. Because it is the beauty of the system, the compassion, the dignity of the process, the governance and substance that shine out. Beauty and love, that most abused word forwhich there is no substitute".......
