SUBJECT: Grill Flame Briefing for BG Carl Smith, Office of Secretary
of Defense
1. Per direction of OACSI, at 1430 hrs, 18 July 1980, I presented a 45
minute briefing to the following:
BG Carl Smith, Special Assistant to Sec. of Defense
Dr. Vorona, DIA, S & T
LTC Sasai, OACSI
2. The purpose of the briefing was to give BG Smith an in-depth understanding
of the INSCOM Grill Flame Program. See incl 1 for outline of the briefing.
3. BG Smith asked several questions concerning the operational methods we
used but he always appeared satisfied with my responses.
4. Since the briefing was intended to be informational in nature, I would
say that the purpose of the briefing had been accomplished satisfactorily.
