,fe : ~y'Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDJ~96-00789 Palo Alto Dump (Palo Alto, off Embarcadero) Directions: SEE MAP; Take Laurel Street south to Willow Rd.; turn left on Willow; turn right on Middlefield Rd.; follow Middlefield out to Embarcadero Rd.; take Embarcadero Rd. left (East); you will pass Highway 101; you will pass the sewage treatment plant on the right; turn right at the end of Embarkadero and drive down to the entrance gate of the Palo Alto Municipal Refuse Disposal Area; the Guard my not let you in unless you are a Palo Alto resident and have something to dump; if you do not qualify, all you can do is park near the entrance. Target: The target is the Palo Alto Municipal Refuse Disposal Area (i.e., the Dump). The dump is located near the bay. The dump is an open dirt area frequented by scavenging Seagulls. As trucks bring rubbish into the dump, large earth moving machines work to cover the piles over with fresh dirt.
