Approved For Release 2003/09/03 : CIA-RDP96-00789R000900160010-5 Working paper Proj. no: 9028 Date: 21 May 90 Viewer: 003 Session: 001 Monitor: N/A Time: 1145-1205 Summary of Information Vessel is steaming through calm water in hazy sunlight in a north-northwest direction at a point approximately 1405N/6155W, about 60 miles WNW of St. Lucia Island. The fish smell about the vessel was all but overpowering, and there appeared to be a quantity of slimy crustaceans aboard. The people aboard the vessel are feeling safe and secure; there is a strong impression that the vessel is not feeling at risk, that it had recently been carrying a risky cargo of some sort--strong impression of contraband narcotics--but had successfully unloaded the material and moved on about its business, and is now "clean" for awhile. Carrying the material creates considerable anxiety amongst the crew, and when it is no longer aboard, they avoid thinking about "the next time," when they may carry similar materials again. In any case, the "next time" is not yet scheduled or projected, to their knowledge. A search indicated that the contraband they were carrying and recently offloaded, will eventually be offloaded in the US vic 2520N/8030W--the Florida coast SE of Florida City.
