Aconcagua (a-kong-ka-gwa) The highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere, is in the Argentina near the Chilean Border. A tooth-like eminence, it rises from its' precipitous ridges to an elevation of 22,834 ft. It is often visible from Valparaiso, on the shore of the Pacific, 90 miles away.
