Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789R001500510001-9 illy/NOFORN - HANDLE VIA SKEET CHANNELS ONLY PROJECT SUN STREAK (U) WARNING NOTICE: INTELLIGENCE SOURCES AND METHODS INVOLVED PROJECT NUMBER: 0743 SESSION NUMBER: 1 DATE OF SESSION: 13 JUL 88 DATE OF REPORT: 13 JUL 88 START: 0836 END: 0920 METHODOLOGY: CRV VIEWER IDENTIFIER: 025 1. (S/NF/SK) MISSION: Stage 4 training. Site was Madison Square Garden. 2. (S/NF/SK) VIEWER TASKING: Coordinates 4045/5950; and movements within the target area. 3. (S/NF/SK) COMMENTS: Excellent viewing--025 almost called the site, (see below). The only problem encountered was that typical of all early Stage 4 sessions, to wit, placing data in an incorrect column. This session would have been evaluated5), but the perception of (AOL matching) "coliseum" arose from ideas associated with only size and layout of the site, rather than a combination of these things plus those of the activity normally associated with the gestalt of coliseum--and there is no doubt but that 025 would have acquired these additional percepts soon--in which case the viewer would have ended up with a percept similar to "coliseum" in the AOL/S column (and an evaluation of 5 for acquiring the total site gestalt). However, rather than allow the AOL match to be passed by and remain simply an AOL, the monitor purposely ended the session prematurely and supplied the feedback; the percept (coliseum) being so closely related to the site that is could be used by the monitor to strongly reinforce the correctness of the viewer's (unconscious) behavior. (The rationale for cutting the viewer short was explained to 025 in the post-session discussion). The data, including the perceptions of "New York", combined to make this a very satisfying session for 025 and to greatly bolster the viewer's confidence. SG1J CPT, USA e -~-t.
