2. ) The target was the Eiffel Tower located at the
end of the Champs Elysee in Paris, France. This masterpiece of
wrought iron technology was built in 1889 to celebrate the 100th
anniversary of the French Revolution. The designer was Alexandre
Gustav Eiffel used over l'',000 separate pre-fabricated components
to erect the tower. The tower is visible, literally, from every
corner of this famous capitol. It weighs over 7,000 tons, is 1036
feet tall and is set in seven foot of concrete buried deep within
the ground. An elevator, installed later, takes tourist three-
fourths of the way to the top where a lovely, (but somewhat
expensive) glassed in restaurant is located. A full set of stairs
leading from the ground to the top is also available for the more
daring.
3. C ) Source's description of the site did not closely
correlate with many of the major gestalts of this area, e.g., the
structure, its location in a bustling city, height, metallic
construction, etc. Source did report on the concept of. a tall
structure and the impression of triangles but little else in
Source's session could be directly related to the major gestalt of
the tower. Some of. Source's descriptions may have had relevance if
one were to extend the site area to include the French Parliament,
"men sitting at a table judging, making decisions", or Notre Dame,
"Blessings, something holy", or the Follies Bergere, "dancing,
costumes, feathers", etc, etc., however, even if these could be
positively correlated it would still represent unacceptable
behavior in reporting. since the target was the tower and. not all of
Paris, (regardless of how fascinating the "City of Lights" may be
to the viewer).
