E. SESSION SUMMARY
The situation in Somalia will be seen in the next week or so as
increasingly dim. U.S. military involvement will be required as
long as the clans are presantly at war. In accordance with the
United Nations, other countries will provide some troops over time
for the cause. More people will die as a result of the actions and
upheaval in Somalia. An increased amount of american taxpayers
money will be spent on intervention which will give rise to
resistance in this effort even within the U.S. The Somalian
situation is not to be just an American involvement and will have
to be adhered to by other countries as proposed by the United
Nations. There will be some further blockage of food sent to
Somalia despite the fact that more troops will be available to
insure the delivery of supplies. Humanitarian efforts will be
considered effective given time.
