The period covered is 12-13 October 1993. - (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) Source (Green Data): -- The recent developments in Somalia are dangerous. However, the soldiers will be returned. Destruction ceases for awhile, but there will be complications before the prisoners are released. may be released within six or seven days or within the month. There will be a public display as significant officials decide release procedures through negotiations. It is perceived that the prisoners will be given to guards and taken to a set location where they will leave the region by plane or helicopter. Peace is temporary. The health of the prisoners is poor to fair, but they will have witnessed much and have a lot to tell when they are returned. Other prisoners are being held captive in Somalia. Mohamed Farrah Aidid is on the move and not in the same physical location as these prisoners. Dead bodies of soldiers will be returned to U.S. soil. The issues will not be resolved in Somalia until February of next year. (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) Source (Red Data): -- The American soldiers in Somalia are being held prisoner near the Benadir Secondary School and the hotel/motel called Taleh. They are in small rooms and some are locked up in beds. The prisoners are separated from each other. Overall, their health is as good as can be expected. At this time, there is not any serious health problems that can be detected. -- There may be plans and intentions to move the prisoners or keep them on the move. The second structure is associated with a very tall and thin tower-like feature. This building/tower is "one of a kind" or unique onto its self.
