Mr. James H. Dykstra
Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense
(Senate Affairs)
Washington, D.C. 20301
Thank you for arranging our meeting yesterday with Senator
Glenn and Senator Cohen and for your personal participation
at the session. We were all impressed with the very cordial
and comfortable atmosphere that existed during the discussions.
Clearly, a very excellent relationship exists between Senator
Cohen and you, a tribute to your professionalism and your
fine personality. In the coming weeks, I will be calling
your office for an appointment so I can obtain your advice
on issues relating to our project.
Again, I would like to extend to you my best wishes for
continued success in your career and to thank you for your
personal assistance in matters relating to our special
project. In your current position, you can depend on us
if you need any briefings or discussions regarding worldwide
scientific and technical intelligence developments. If
you ever get a quiet moment and the Senate is in recess,
we would be very pleased to host you for a couple hours
here to give you a feeling for the diversity of material
that we handle and the quality of our people. From such
a meeting you might gain some perspectives on subjects
that would assist you in fulfilling your challenging responsi-
bilities.
P.S. Thanks for your
advice re the notes. A
I've included copies
