9.B. The Senior Review Panel, which is attached to the
Office of the DCI and reports directly to him, deals with
the quality of national intelligence produced by the Com-
munity. It has conducted a number of significant evaluations
of Community production, including as its major survey
during the past year an appraisal of Community performance
on Soviet oil production estimates. The Panel regularly and
systematically reviews national intelligence estimates,
special estimates, and national intelligence memoranda at
various stages of the production process.
