The Central Intelligence Agency has been doing a little arnicipatory brushing up on one of its former di- rectors, Vice President Bush. Agency officials say the C.I.A. recently com- piledfacts about Mr. Bush's tenure at the agency, which he headed for al- most ayear beginning in 1976. William H. Webster, the present Di- rector of Central Intelligence, said at a recent lunch that the compilation was not a review and was not in- tended for the use of Mr. Buah, who is all but assured of securing the Repub- lican Presidential nomination, or for his Democratic rivals. Asked what the purpose of the Bush study was, William Baker, an agency spokesman, replied: "In a general way, we try to anticipate some of your questions so that I can respond 'no comment' with some degree of knowledge."
