1. I have noted
Thieu believes that I saw General Don during his visit to Washington.
I think it would be worthwhile if you could work into one of your
conversations with Thieu the fact that while I was scheduled to go to
a luncheon at which Dien was present. I was unable to do so and actually
never saw Don while he was here.
2. I leave all this to your good judgment, and %o uld defer to
it if you believe we should simply let Thieu continue in his misappre-
hension.
I would appreciate your letting me know.
