SAMs
The R&D program you recently initiated to improve our capability
against Soviet-supported air defenses looks extremely promising.
I am gratified by your prompt response to this important problem
and hope that these initiatives will result in significant improvement
to our capability.
I will be interested to hear of the progress made in these programs
and will delay acceptance of your kind offer for a full presentation
'until more information about them and their operational uses
becomes available.
