MEMORANDUM FOR DR. KISSINGER

SUBJECT: Cambodian Situation Report
Attached is a statistical update as of 8:00 p.m., June 5.
The following are significant operational highlights.
~- Search and clear operations continued. The discovery
of two significant caches of communications equipment and
rice were reported.
In Base Area 351 U.S. forces found 24 PRC-10 radios,
two large transmitters with hand crank generators, 19 assorted
handmade radio transmitters, and assorted communications equipment.
This recent find has not yet been reflected in the totals.
Also in Base Area 35l U.S. forces found 20 bunkers and
several structures that contained 33 tons of polished rice and
5 1/2 tons of salt. The cache was estimated to have only been
in place about one month.
