As you-know, we have for some time been circulating
to you EAG papers for your review and comment to me.. I
value your comments and perceptions and want to continue
to receive them. Because of the demands on my time,
however, I am now going to ask that the Comptroller
circulate papers destined for the EAG to you directly.
I also ask that you make any comment on the paper that
you wish to to him. He in turn will incorporate your
comments into a memorandum to me prior to the meeting.
Obviously, you are free to make any additional private
comment you want to make to me, but I would hope that
by following this procedure we could bring all the various
views together in a comprehensive package which I can
review at one sitting.
