Soviet Dependence on Space Systems
REFERENCE D/DCI NIO Memo dated 5 August 1975,
1. Reference memo forwarded final draft of subject
report to USIB representatives and announced the clean-up
session for 8 August.
2. We have reviewed this final draft and find that it
responds well to our originally perceived requirements as
relayed to the NIO/SP
3. The report is one of the best compendiums of Soviet
%:...s.pa:ce 'systems.. we .have seen. and. will. pro.bab.ly.. stand. as such
for some time to come. In addressing the question of Soviet
dependency, however, this draft has introduced the.concept
of degradation as part of the overall dependency concept.
We appreciate the many hours of work put in by the authors
