of three companies each, the companies having three platoons. Each company
has three Colt heavy machine guns ',and 12 Simonov auto-rifles o The unit . is hot
notorieed. Shoulder boards are decorated in light red.
2. The l+th Armored Regiment is in the Miciurin Barracks, Strada Bela
Brainer; (formedy Ereilori dela,Tisa) 14. Commander: Lt Col. Ion Ranea.
Adjutant: Capt Constantin Zonea. Strength, about 650 men, divided into three
battalions of three companies each. In the lot Battalion each company has
four type BA armored cars; in the 2nd.,Battal.ion each company has five T-34
tanks; in the 3rd Battalion each company has three type 1 11 tanks. The tanks
all carry the figure 4+4 on their turrets. Shoulder boexde are red with black
decoration.
3. The 6th Engineer Battalion (smoke projectors) is in the Tudor Validimireacu
Barracks, 'StradThalmann (formerly Armand Calinescu) 27. It is an independent
battalion, directly under the general staff. Commander: Col Gheorghe Dascaliuc.
Adjutant: Capt Vasile Balasiu. Strength about 350 men, divided into three
companies of three platoons each. Each company has 12 type OT-27 107 mm pro-
jectors. The unit is motorized. Shoulder boards are brown with black decoration.
