(a) Memorandum to D/Security from A/DDA, dated
21 January 1981, subject: Recommendations
of Inspector General's Report on Agency
Cover (DDA 81-0069/3)
(b) Memorandum to DDCI from D/OTE, dated
10 March 1981, subject: Recommendation 15
of the Inspector General's Report on Agency
Cover
(c) Memorandum to DDA from D/OTE, dated 4 March
1981, subject: Recommendation 18 of the
Inspector General's Report on Agency Cover
Pursuant to tasking in Reference A, the Office of Security,
in the person of the Chief, Security Education Group, partici-
pated in two meetings with representatives of the office of
Training and Education concerning Recommendations 15 and 18 of
subject Report. The issue of the cover content of existing
training courses (Recommendation 15) and of revision of the
Career Trainee Program to include more emphasis on cover training
(Recommendation 18) do not directly concern Office of Security
equities. However, as indicated in Reference B. questions
pertaining to cover do arise in the course of lectures presented
by Office of Security representatives. We believe that our
advice and guidance on these issues is in full concert with the
philosophy of the Central Cover Staff and the Office of Training
and Education, and we endorse the referenced responses from the
Office of Training and Education.
