Following recent conversations between members of our respective
staffs, I am hereby confirming the IJV/ R requirements for secure telephone
service in the foreseeable future.
a. As you know, certain activities of the Special Projects
office of the VD/ H are generating quite extensive secure telephone
requirements, all of which, I believe, are known to members of
your staff. A list of these is attached (DPI) 2806-62).

b. As you know, 061 requires secure telephone service to
M Your staff is, of course, already at work on this require-
c. I reconfirm my desire that the Special projects Office have
two stations on the KY-5 net. I also desire a station in my office
when I have moved into permanent space.
d. Further requirements may arise as a result of certain
organizational changes proposed within the Agency. I am not able
to comment further on these now, but I think it is fair to say that
they would generate perhaps one or two additional requirements
in the Washington area.
