This Kam' rep is the ernator with the R"VA Alternator. Repeated failures of the alternator and regulator together with the need or greater AC capacity justified this gam'. Service Bulletin kits will be available in about 22 weeks. Kits will installed by the detachmeents. b. 1.15 New Inverter ffi tam. ThisP replaces, the pre-so av*rter with a 750 VA Inverter. This will provide additional inverter back-is[ in case of inverter failure and will eliminate the carLca staeuck regulators which have been the source of most inverter failures. The rev{sed inverter circuitry will provide for use of the existing 100 VA and 250 VA inverters and AC Alternator as back-up In event the 750 VA inverter fails. This will enable the pilot to complete a miaaasion successfully where previously an abort would have resulted. Under this condition, the pilot eua select one of two alternates-all, syste except 61ST-3 or all system except adeev'ous Beacon. In event both the 750 VA and 250 VA inverters fail, the 100 VA inverter will still supply power to emergency flight instruments. 25X1A9a Chief, Materiel Division US A - ?/R cc: AD/ A.
