To amplify our recent telephone conversation, after discussing
your letter with various Agency colleagues, I find that there are several
offices interested in seeing your complete report, or at least detailed
examples showing how your factor analysis method actually works. If
you would forward one or two copies of the report to me, I will take care
of distributing it internally to the proper parties.
In addition to this Agency, it is possible that either the Office of
the Secretary of Defense (OSD) or the Institute for Defense Analysis (IDA)
might be interested in your methodological approach. You might also want
to take steps to ensure that your report is included in the information
processing system operated by the Defense Documentation Center. It would
then receive maximum distribution throughout the federal establishment and
perhaps come to the attention of other parties potentially interested in your
factor analysis technique.
In any event, I thank you for writing and look forward to seeing how
your interesting approach actually works.
