1. 1 Jim Wilson, House Committee on Science
and Astronautics. called to say that Representative Olin Teague (D., Tex.)
plans to make a speech on the floor concerning the Soviet space effort
and will state that the Congressman has been kept informed by the
intelligence community and that the Soviet space effort is as great or
greater than that of the U.S. Wilson wanted to clear this statement for
Teague from a security standpoint. After talking with Carl Duckett, I
assured Wilson that a general statement of this nature would be all right.
