6. Mike Finley, in the office of
Representative Dante Fascell (D., Fla.), called for information on Everett
Jackson, the pilot recently captured in Cuba. He said this was in connection
with an upcoming meeting with an attorney from the 82d Airborne Association
interested in Jackson's release. Finley recognized that State was the proper
source, but at his request for information I later told him (based on the advice
of WH Division) that State had all information known to us.
Ultimately, Finley advised that Fascell had taken the position that the 82d
Airborne Association should stay out of the picture and permit regular Govern-
ment channels to work unhampered for Jackson's release.

Schroeder, Senate Special Internal Security Subcommittee staff, concerning
the World Peace Movement, .1Vir... Schroeder advised that the Subcommittee
is interested in possible hearings. on the World Peace Movement and is
attempting to identify existing studies of the Movement. They are particularly
interested in the tie-in with known personalities in the various countries
where the Movement has been active and its relationship to international
communism. I advised Mr. Schroeder that I would relay the Subcommittee's
request and that our office would be back in touch with him during the week.
