1. On 2 December the extension of the ru tray at White Cloud Airfield was
inccs"rnlete, although it was scheduled for cornq letion on 3 December. The
number of contracting firms on the project was increased from 3-to 15.
The thiclmess of the runway is 22 inches: a inches of concrete, 10 inches
of broken stone, and 4 inches of gravel.. The rurcray area is being increased
50 percent, and underground han:ere are being built to accor_iodate 250 planeso
