1. 1IJo (2) additional areas have surfaced for communications support
requirements during the period FY 1981 through FY 1985. Please annex. the
following requirements to our Reference A citings:
(a) A communications line between the VYDEC machines in
Correspondence Branch (8th floor Ames) and the Reality minicomputer
(5th floor Ames). This would allow correspondence requests to
go directly to the word processing machines and verif:icat:ion of
correspondence to go from the word processing machines to the
minicomputer.
(b) Lines between a bar stripe reader in Ames Building
and the Reality minicomputer (5th floor Ames). This woul-d allow
file control through the use of bar codes and would eliminate
redundant typing of file control numbers.
