REFERENCES The fourth plane, on which the number could not be seen, had the back part of its fuselage dismantled so that it could be seen that work was being done on the engine. This fourth plane was on alert like the others, with 25X1 25X1 2. The other planes observed on the field were two IL -140s., one IL-12, one Siebel,.. and about 20 MIG"15 9s . The IL-140s, which were clearly visible, carried no marking as to nationality and appeared to be brand new.2 1J ~C~ The diminution in the number of IL-100s observed at both a.^fields, in comparison with previous observations, is to be noted. 25X1 20 C, nen~ As it is known that for some months the Avia factory in Cakovice has stopped production of II-10 planes and has been engaged in some new line of production, it is possible that it is producing II-149s, a type 25X1 plane not previously observed in Czechoslovakia.
