KUBAN left on second trial on 23 July 1955. Everything was in good order
except the degaussing installation which required adjustment. The ship
is expected to sail on her final sea trial early in August.
3, New Compass
TO Geraete- and Reglerwerke9 Teltow9 is producing a new compass because
the old type was adversely affected by degaussing gear.
4. The Falke-tye Ship
a. Plans for construction of the Falke-type ship were awaiting approval
at the Institute for Shipbuilding,, Nolgaste during the third week in
July 1955,2
b, The Falke is to be powered by turbines and to have a speed of 30 knots
according to the director of the institute,
