MEMORANDUM FOR: Acting Deputy Director (Administration)
SUBJECT: Request for Additional Positions in DD/P,
Foreign Intelligence Staff
1. In our memorandum of 12 April 1954, on the above subject,
we recommended disapproval of a request concerning two positions
and involving the PP and FI Staffs of DD/P.
2. The attached memorandum of 23 April 1954 from the Chief
of Administration, DD/P, and subsequent conversations with repre-
sentatives of DD/P establish the fact that the two positions in
question were inadvertently omitted from both the FI Staff and the
PP Staff when the DD/P overall T/O revision was processed three or
four months ago.
3. In view of this additional information it is recommended
that the FI T/O be increased through the addition of the following
two positions with the understanding that no increase in funds or
personnel ceiling allotted to DD/P will be necessary;
