1. Returned.
2. The principle of testing individuals of all covert
offices and of certain individuals in other offices is approved.
3. However, in conducting these tests, the individual in
question must understand that his taking the Polygraph test is a
purely voluntary affair and he must be specifically informed that
no disciplinary action will be taken because of any results that
may be obtained by use of the Polygraph.
4. The scheduling must be carefu17,y done by the Chief*,"
I & SS, who is charged with direct coordination in this connection.
The Executive will be charged with the over-all operation of Poly-
graph tests.
