Nonmilitary Uniforms
Allowances,
1. This office has reconsidered the immediate publication of the
attached proposed regulation and does not wish to authenticate it at
the present time due to the followings
(a) Paragraph 3 (a) and (b) are worded in a manner
thich is more suitable for a notice (transitory) than a
rlation.
(b) The substance of paragraph 3 (b) should be amended
to include appropriate provision in the justification sub-
mitted to the 1)1?/S for the consideration of style and color
of the uniform and the design of such other fittings that
may be recsted.
2. Some provision ought to be made for the difference finition
between protective clothing and uniforms. It should be indicated that
this regulation is applicable only to uniforms unless it is desired to
expand it to also include provisions for the furnishing of protective
clothing by the Agency, and the standards?shich are desired in this
regard.
