1. Xr. from the Office of Current Intelligence, gave a
briefing on recent developments in foreign affi:ire, including:
a. Soviet forei policy as related to the danger of nuclear
mare;
b. cbangea of internal policies in the Soviet Bloc countries;
c. a ry of current political developu3nts in Western
rope; and
d.. Mr. Dag kJold.'s visit to Egypt and the current
situation In the Middle fit.
2. Colonel White re+cjaested Per. Garrison and Colonel Ed. rd.s to work out
roco tions for the protection of our new property now that the Agency 3s
taking title to the Ian4ley site. .
3. The Director desires that any correspo a e- prepared for his signa-
ture, to reply to letters 1 receives, be on his desk within twenty-four
hours after he releases A letter.fcr reply. Ibis will require hs carrying
aid expeditious action by each Office and S 'f Chief. However, exceptions
nay be requested for certain categories of correspondence- or specific letters
requirin'g extensive processing for the preparation of replies.
k. Some overseas Stations have complained that nearly all. of their
Support people have been rotated, back to the United States at the same time.
Colonel White requests that each Career Service mime special efforts to
star Field replac nts so that there will not be a complete turnover of
,too, amy Support personnel, at a given location at the same time.
5. All LU/S Offices and Staffs are requested to submit ages item for
the Staff Meetings on any matters deemed appropriate for general inforntion
or discussion.
6. m r. Houston announced that the Office of General Counsel has prepared
a proposed Regulation relative to the release of Information to Courts and the

7. On the 24th of April 1957, the Offices of Training vial give a
presentation on the Agency Per s ,el Testing Activities; Psychological
services of the L ice of Training other than trainift evaluation and as-

Printing , with particular reference to the vista facilities avail
able ani the recent transfer of the GPO - State Service printing plant to
Agency operating control.
