SUBJECT Weekly Report
1. We have been informed that the Station
is to be closed prior to 30 June 1975.
2. After many months of negotiations the
has approved stren thening the floor and installation of
a s ielded enclosure This will provide a much needed,
separate Agency communications facility.
3. Chief of Base, has made a strong representation
for retention of the secon communications position

4. The Automated Relay Station (ARS) was
accepted and became operational on 16 December 19 4. Installation
of ARS-II is scheduled for 20 January 1975.
5. The satellite suffered several more
unexpected transfers of the switching logic assembly power
converters during the weekend of 14-15 December. Also, it has
25X1C been unofficially reported that there will be an additional 10
5X1C to 14 week delay in the launch of satel-
25X1C lites. The latest launch schedule before the delay was
