. Richard F. Xitte rman
1. It has been brought to my attention that Mr. Richard F. Kitterman
of your staff, Department of State member of the Computer Security Sub-
committee, is retiring from the Foreign Service on 30 April 1970.
2. As a charter member of the Computer Security Working Group,
Mr. tteran played an important role in the development of the terms
of reference of the Computer Security Subcommittee. Subsequently, as
the primary State member of this Subcommittee, he exhibited a degree of
professionalism that has been a tribute to himself and the Department.
3. As his career with the Government draws to a close, I would
like to take this opportunity to commend Mr. Kitter.an for his efforts
in this important Security Committee activity and to express the appre-
ciation of the entire Subcom mitte*;and myself for his contributions over
the past two years.
