1. PHOTOGRAPHY OF MARCH 1963, REVEALS 2.3 NM NORTHEAST OF HANOI
A 6,100 X 100 FT, NNE/SSW, SERVICEABLE CONCRETE RUNWAY, AND A 5,800
X 320 FT NW/SE CONCRETE RUNWAY BEING USED AS A PARKING AREA. BOTH
RUNWAYS HAVE PARALLEL TAXIWAYS. FACILITIES INCLUDE ONE HANGAR, AN
OPERATIONS BUILDING WITH A LARGE PARKING APRON, NUMEROUS SHOPS AND
SUPPORT BUILDINGS, AND A POL STORAGE AREA AT THE NORTHWEST END OF THE
NW/SE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT -- TEN CRATE, EIGHTEEN CAB, THREE CREEK, AND
TWO HOUND.
2. TROJAN HORSE REVEALS THE NNE/SSW
RUNWAY BEING EXTENDED APPROXIMATELY 650 FT AT ITS NORTH-NORTHEAST
END, WITH NEW GRADING ACTIVITY EXTENDING APPROXIMATELY 1,200 FT
BEYOND THE RUNWAY EXTENSION. AT LEAST SIXTEEN AIRCRAFT REVETMENTS,
ALL OF WHICH DISPLAY THE EXHAUST VENT/PERSONNEL EXIT, ARE OBSERVED.
NEW PERSONNEL TRENCHES ARE OBSERVED ALONG THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY OF
THE NNE/SSW RUNWAY AND ALONG BOTH SIDES OF THE NW/SE RUNWAY (WHICH
IS CURRENTLY BEING USED AS AN AIRCRAFT DISPERSAL AREA). AIRCRAFT --
TEN CRATE, ELEVEN CAB, THREE HOUND, ONE COLT, AND ONE CROW/CREEK.
