The FIF Film-Recall Archival System, RECARCFIF, is divided into four programs,
each performing a .specific function.
The first program, RECARCFIF, reads the NPIC data base and creates a file
(FIF*TEMPRECALL) containing the film-recall records.
The next program, RECRPTFIF,.sorts the temporary recall records by mission
number, control number-ID, and return date. A report is printed containing in-
formation on each entry.
The third program, RECMRGFIF, merges the records of the temporary recall file
with the existing history file, in the order mentioned above. The history file is
then read to be sure no errors occur.
The fourth and last program, RECDELFIF, purges all the film-recall records
merged into the history tape from the NPIC data base.
