MEMORANDUM FOR: Director for Special Activities
SUBJECT Survival Weapon
1. Request funds be made available in the amount of
for the purchase of twenty-six (26) new survival
weapons to replace the present 22-caliber high-standard
pistols.
2. These new weapons (see attachment) which will be
installed in the survival seat kits, greatly reduce bulk
and weight. This single item will replace the flare gun
and knife as well as the weapon.
3. At the present time, because of both bulk and weight,
the high-standard weapon is not packed in the pilot's survival
kit.
4. Item can be purchased from Space-Age Control, Inc.,
38850 North 20th Street, East Palmdale, California, 93550.
5. Distribution of weapons will be evenly divided
between Customers #1, and #2.
