I. On 5 February, the barracks installation on the aoutheast side of Torg uer
Strasse in Leipzig-Heiterblic:Y.: quartered about 1200, troope. Sentriee evre red
bordered black epaulets. Almost all ?porters were lighted at nightfall. On 28
Jenuaty, about 200 soldiere practiced with small erne at group level in the
installation. At about 9 am ,about 70 soldier? wearing red-bordered black
epaulets? some with tank insignia, and carrying small arms, epodes and gas maske
moved from the barrel:eke installation toward the troop training grounds. A 25X1A
T-34/85 tank practiced driving at the training grounds. On 3 Fobruaryo three 25X1C
T-34/35 tanks practiced driving while about 150 to 200 received field traininga
on tha training grounds. A convey of 15 trucks some of them occupied by 4 to 6

and meter transport insignia* On 20 Januaey, the quarters were 80 percent lighted%
About 60. to 50 men with 10 trucks practiced driving which included training tripe
to_Taacha, on 279 29- and 30 January.
4. On 30 January e the Flak Kaoerne in Leipzig-Schoenau was occupied to eapacity by
1,000 to 1,200 troops who wore red-bordered black epaulets with artillery insignia.

40 soldiers with fixed bayonets, carrying two machine guns and targets

recruits, with two machine guns and targets, left the iritiJ

9. On 26 January, a sentry wearing red-bordered black epaulets was noticed in
the Train Kaserne on the west side of Olbricht Stresses south of the

the XXIX Gds Mtz Rifle Corps conducted short-term firing practice at
combat level on the Ohrdruf or Lossa troop training grounds and returned to,
their posts on 28 January.
