Shipments consigned to these two towns may therefore have been forwarded to their final destinatiofLs-bither by rail or ship. The shipments of potassium sulphate and plate-"glass"ooinsigned to Bratislava, Czechoslovakia were probably transloaded on- a Danube River ship and forwarded to Bulgaria. The 55 refrigerator cars consigned from Werdau to Ruse were new cars constructed by the VEB Wagoonbau in Werdau and were presuii.ably-designed for the transportation of fish. According to other information. theae.refrigerator cars have a carrying capacity of 15 toms each and can be used on axpress trains.' The other shipments of vehicles and vehicle components Consisted o f encased buffers, produced by the VEB Wagoonbau in Bautzen; about 3s550-bicycles produced-by"the VEB MIFA Bicycle Plant in Sangerhausen; 75 motorcycles produced by the VEB'MOtorenwerke, formerly the Bayerische ![otoren- Werke B4,1), in Eisenach; and 61 motorcycles produced by the VEB Vehicle Plant, former Simeon & Co., in Sun.. The motorcycles are believed to have been BMWs and AWO-250s'with-a piston; disp1a6ement-of 250-cubic cm. each. Shipments from Hettstedt to Ruse consisted of 75'ton6 of copper baands and about 129 tons of electrolytic copper. Information-concerning diidde'copper imported from Hungary to Eastern Germany and re-exported-after bean rocessed into electrolytic copper, was con- 2 5X1A tained in a previous report Only 211 empty cars were listed in the shipping documents made out chandau freight dispatch office during the period from 23 to 31 December 1951. The documents concerning the movement of empty cars during the period from 1 to 22'December 1951 were not available.
