The town of Sheaakha is located about 125 kilometers east of the city of
Batt. Lenin Sovkhos is about 4 kiloasters south of the town. Population
of Sovkhos is about 1000 Aserbq dshanians, about 100 Russians and seas

shows daily, at 1700 and 1900 hours. Tickets are priced at 1, 3 and
11.50 Rubles. A show is held for children on Sundays at 1500 hours for
a straight price of 1.00 Ruble per ticket.

majority of the houses in Geokchay are electrified. South of the town
the power line Mingechaur-Baku is being constructed. This line already
supplies Agdash and Udzhar$-`. The town of Geokchay will be supplied with
this power in 1959.

connections. There are not many telephones in private use; they are

Soviet officials and government organizations. There are no public

In order to get a connection, one has to call the operator and identify
the party by name.

bridge is about 100-150 meters long.

already begun. In the summer, the water level in this place is so low
that it is passable by car. The street north of No. 32 to the intersection
with the road to Mir-ashir is prohibited for heavy traffic.

were paved.
